Wandsworth in Bloom sought to highlight the beauty and importance of local green spaces, from community gardens to balconies in bloom.
The awards ceremony was held last week at the Pump House Gallery in Battersea Park, bringing together nominees, community partners and sponsors, and special guests to celebrate the greening of local spaces.
Local winners included WIP Space Studios, which won Best Business in Bloom. The artist-run studio at Wentworth House boasts 17 studio spaces, as well as communal rooms and gallery areas. The beautiful Georgian building is Grade II listed and the award-winning garden hosts community workshops designed to inspire and educate.
The coveted People’s Choice Award was gifted to Age UK Wandsworth by the Deputy Mayor of Wandsworth, Cllr Rosemary Birchall.
