Spotlight: The Pop-Up Club

Guess who’s coming back to town! Okay, the title of this feature was a bit of a giveaway, but still – The Pop-Up Club will return to Southside, Wandsworth. We caught up with Tillie Peel, founder of The Pop-Up Club, to get the lowdown on what you can expect from their spring shop.

Hey Tillie, for those who don’t know, tell us who you are and what you do.

We are The Pop-Up Club, and we run pop-ups and events for creative sustainable businesses, artists and makers.

How did The Pop-Up Club come about?

I run my own vintage clothing brand and dreamt of opening my own shop, but with all the costs it just wasn’t possible. So I shared the space and costs with other businesses, and voila! The Pop-Up Club was born.

When do you return to Southside, Wandsworth?

We open our doors on Saturday 25 March, and we’re open for six weeks!

Who will be joining you this time?

We have more than 30 small businesses from London and across the UK, with some very local to Wandsworth.

What’s your favourite thing about Wandsworth Town?

We’ve been welcomed to Southside, shops, and the local community, who have all really supported our retail model. We’re not like other high street shops, our goal is to support small businesses and help them grow.

You can find The Pop-Up Club on the ground floor of Southside, Wandsworth from Saturday 25 March.
