Wandsworth in Bloom, a brand-new gardening competition, has launched and entries are open until 30 June 2025.
The competition, from Wandsworth Council, aims to bring people together to celebrate neighbourhood pride and contribute to a more biodiverse and sustainable borough.
Residents, businesses, community groups, and schools are invited to showcase their green-fingered talents.
The competition is free to enter and open to everyone – whether you’re a first-time grower or a seasoned gardener, nominate yourself or someone else in your life.
All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges including local gardening experts, with winners announced at a special celebration event.
The deadline for entries is Monday 30 June 2025, and judging will take place in July.

“Wandsworth in Bloom is about more than flowers. It’s about local pride, creativity and connecting with their community. In this special year as London Borough of Culture, we want to celebrate the people who make our borough greener, more colourful and more welcoming through gardening.”
“You don’t need a big garden or a lot of experience, just passion and a bit of imagination. Gardening helps build a sense of community and pride in our streets, and we want everyone to get involved, whether it’s a business, a school, at street, or a resident with a balcony box of blooms.”
