How do college apprenticeships work?
Our apprenticeships give students the opportunity to earn while they learn and gain valuable workplace experience. We cover a range of industries, from business administration to engineering.
We’re really proud of our high apprenticeship success rates, and we’d be happy to help a local business find the right apprentice.
South Thames College isn’t just for 16-18 year olds, right? Who else can benefit from your courses?
Absolutely. You might be surprised to know that we welcome learners of all ages, including adults looking to upskill, return to education, gain a professional qualification, or even develop a new hobby.
We also offer higher education English, Maths and ESOL courses (English for Speakers of Other Languages) for students looking to improve their English.

Do you have any open events coming up?
Yes, we do. We have open events on 7 October 2026; 7 November 2026; 3 March 2027; and 16 June 2027.
Open events are a great opportunity for potential students and their parents or guardians to get a feel for South Thames College. You’ll get lots of helpful information about our courses and you’ll also get to see our amazing facilities, meet with some of our tutors, and ask any questions you may have.

What are the facilities like?
Thanks to a major £100m redevelopment just a few years ago, our Wandsworth campus features modern, industry-standard facilities that give students hands-on experience in environments designed to accurately reflect the modern workplace.
We have an in-built construction training centre, a sports hall and gym, hair and beauty salons, and creative spaces, including a theatre, editing suites, and a music studio.
Is Wandsworth Town a good match for South Thames College in terms of local activities and opportunities.
