We all have a part to play in safeguarding the environment for future generations. Here's our commitment to Wandsworth Town: Street cleaning We will continue to deliver street cleaning to keep our town centre looking fresh. If you've noticed a space that could use some TLC drop us an email at [email protected] Drinking fountains Single-use plastic is having a devastating impact on the planet, which is why we worked with Thames Water to deliver two public drinking fountains, which can be found outside Wandsworth Town Station and outside Southside on Garratt Lane. Staying hydrated has never been so convenient. Refill London Did you know a number a local businesses are part of the Refill London scheme? We actively encouraged eligible businesses to sign up and offer free water refills to help reduce plastic waste. Look for the blue Refill sticker when you're in the town centre. Project Wandle Wandsworth takes its name from one of London's oldest waterways - the River Wandle - and so it's only right we work to protect it. We're embarking on a new project to help keep the Wandle free from rubbish and make sure it doesn't reach the Thames, and the sea. Greenery We want to increase the number of planters to ensure there's a touch of nature in every part of the town centre. Plants are not just attractive, they're also good for the air. Air monitoring We will work with Wandsworth Council to implement an air quality monitoring solution that will help us look at how we tackle air pollution in our area. Breathe London We will lobby Wandsworth Council and Transport for London (TfL) to deliver measures that reduce the amount of air pollution in our community, and London as a whole.
