Talk & Tarot: The Card of Death

Join us for a day of Tarot readings, workshops, and talks exploring the Death card’s themes of endings, remembrance, and new beginnings.

Cross the threshold on Saturday, 31 October, for a special Death card edition of Talk & Tarot, hosted by Lee Hendricks of Light Nudges and spiritual artist and writer Ari Wisner.

The Death card invites us to explore endings, change, remembrance, and what may emerge when we let go. Through conversation, symbolism, creativity, and connection, we’ll make space for both the tender and transformative sides of this often misunderstood card.

We’ll gather at Wandsworth Quaker Meeting House, the oldest meeting house in Greater London. Tucked away from the bustle of Wandsworth High Street, its historic building and secluded burial ground offer a thoughtful setting for a day centred on remembrance and renewal.

Whether you’re new to Tarot or know the cards well, you’re welcome to join us. The afternoon begins with a Talk & Tarot discussion, followed by opportunities for personal readings, activities, and time to connect with our readers and fellow guests. We’ll close the afternoon with a moment of remembrance in the meeting house’s burial ground, making space to honour those who have gone before us and reflect on what we carry forward.

And after Talk & Tarot, stay longer for a special evening talk with Dr Erica Canela for anyone curious to learn more about the Quakers and their history. Erica is a public historian and the author of Zealous: A Darker Side of the Early Quakers. She’ll bring the stories of the movement’s earliest members to life in a place where Quakers have gathered for centuries and will be available to sign copies of her book after the talk.
