The Light Bulb offers offices and studios in the heart of Wandsworth, a short walk from Wandsworth Town station.
The Welsbach Incandescent Gas Light Company was based in Wandsworth, on the land where The Light Bulb now stands. The site that once made the electric bulb’s greatest rival is now named after one.
Today the nods to the past are everywhere. Wrought iron details meet neon-style lighting, and the grand atrium floods the building with the one thing this site has always traded in: light. Around 200 businesses now work where mantle-makers once did — designers, developers and founders chasing their own bright ideas.
