Wandsworth’s biggest free community music event Old York Road Unplugged will return on Sunday 7 June.
After a one-year hiatus to allow for major upgrades to Old York Road, Unplugged is back in the heart of Wandsworth for a day of summer fun for all ages, from 11am to 5pm.
Expect performances from up-and-coming talent and local artists as well as a fabulous maker’s market, mouth-watering street food, and family activities.
We will also be joined by the Muslim Sisterhood, who will be hosting a foil embossing workshop, for all abilities, which will guide you through creative expressions of storytelling and Islamic culture.
Our charity partner for our 2026 event is Wandsworth Foodbank. We will be hosting a fundraising raffle to help support the important work they do in our community, which means there will be amazing prizes up for grabs on the day, including top tech and the most sought-after kids’ toys.
The transformation of Old York Road into a vibrant and accessible neighbourhood, combining unique local businesses and essential shops, makes it a unique and inviting space for the community. And, as there was no Unplugged in 2025, there’s a lot of anticipation for this year’s event.
James Mbanefo, Executive Director of Wandsworth Town BID, said: “This is a big year for Wandsworth, off the back of being Borough of Culture and the developments that are taking place across town, we’re excited to bring Unplugged back to the community.
“This event is about bringing people together to celebrate Wandsworth Town and it’s unique place in London’s cultural offerings.”
